With its colourful sofa-style seating, fairy-lit al fresco vibe and prime street corner location, ARES Steak & Pasta restaurant at Sudamala Suites & Villas, Sanur, is the artistic district’s home of sublime steaks, signature sauces and pasta nonpareil. With a menu devoted to the ultimate cross-cultural comfort foods: steak and pasta, cooked to perfection with a small but perfectly formed selection of succulent sauces, it’s unsurprising that the second coming of Ares has been a singular success.
Signature dishes from head chef Tonny Kwan Lawrence include the Steak with Signature Sudamala Sauce (sweet soy beurre blanc sauce), Steak with Bongkot Bali Sauce (inspired by the traditional Balinese sambal bongkot, with a European twist), and Pasta Emilie, (a spicy Bolognese fusion of east and west).
The re-engineered menu retains some classic crowd-pleasers such as traditional fried rice, nasi goreng, and international dishes like tapas, pizzas, sandwiches and burgers.
The restaurant’s proximity to Sudakara ArtSpace presents possibilities for art-inspired events, bespoke menus and more. Or just drop in to the gallery after dinner to experience the artworks of some of Bali’s most significant and inspiring artists.
The restaurant also serves personalised a la carte breakfast with a wide variety of selections every morning from 07.00 to 10.00am, ARES Steak & Pasta is open every day for lunch and dinner until 11pm.
