Snorkeling

Choose from a variety of snorkeling sites in Bali

Padang Bai

Snorkeling in Padang Bai is as good as the diving. Everything happens at the same spots where the scuba diving takes place, which ensures a fair quantity / quality of marine life. Blue Lagoon is many snorkelers’ favourite Bali snorkeling site, with its excellent corals, sitting on bright white sand. The clear waters, sandy bottom and bright light make this a very popular site for taking underwater photos.

Nusa Penida

Nusa Penida is an island part of a group of other two islands Lembongan and Ceningan on the South East coast of Bali. Nusa Penida is amazing for snorkeling and seeing the oceanic sunfish (mola mola), the majestic manta rays that grows to up to 6m in size and some of the most amazing drift dives in Indonesia. Although very popular for Scuba Diving, it also offers amazing experiences for snorkelling. Although Mola Mola is rarely visible for snorkelers, Nusa Penida / Manta Point is excellent for large size fishes, turtles, soft and hard coral, and let’s not forget about the amazing beach views.

Tulamben

Probably Bali’s most famous dive site, the USS Liberty Shipwreck in Tulamben. A long but majestic ride to reach it but certainly worth it as we always stop on the way for pictures of the landscape. After swimming for about 20 metre off shore, snorkelers will start seeing part of the ship now a dwelling place for marine life. A snorkelling guide will assist you during this time, not only to make sure you know where the wreck is but also to accompany you in case you are a single snorkeler. As we start with visiting the shipwreck from above, we move forward to the other sites such as Coral Garden.
