Ubud-Kamasan Art Tour With Sudamala Suites & Villas
Ubud-Kamasan Art Tour
Art-lovers will love this deep dive into Bali’s rich and world-renowned artistic heritage. After an early breakfast, meet your guide at 7:30 a.m. and proceed to a traditional Balinese house at Batuan. A visit to Pura Batuan, a beautiful temple with a complete set of Balinese gamelan musical instruments, is optional.
Around mid-morning, arrive at the Setiadarma House of Masks & Puppets to witness this vast collection. Following a fresh cup of ‘joe’ at the Ubud Sari coffee plantation, enter the expansive Puri Lukisan gallery, Ubud’s artistic focal point and a world class museum set up by Rudolf Bonnet, with Cokorda Gede Agung Sukawati (a prince of Ubud’s royal family) and Walter Spies.
After lunch at one of Ubud’s finest restaurants, Indus, visit the legendary Kerta Gosa pavilion, which was a court of justice, at the Klungkung Palace and closely observe its beautiful ceiling. Afterwards, meet Ms. Mangku Muriati, one of Bali’s leading Wayang painters, who create intricate works on grand religious themes in a style inspired by the famous shadow puppet theatre, also referred to as Kamasan style. Arrive back at Sanur around 5:00 p.m. for a refreshing coconut water drink or art-inspired cocktail at Sudakara ArtSpace.
Down the leafy laneways, you will find that our beach area is clearly marked by signs. Whether you prefer to be out in the sun playing a lively round of beach volleyball, or helping your children build sandcastles and memories – or stretched out comfortably on a lounger in the shade with a book in one hand and a cold drink in the other – Sudamala Sanur’s private beach exists just for you.
The Ubud-Kamasan Art Tour is approximately 10 hours (07.30 – 17.30) and includes Private Tour Guide and Vehicle, Lunch, all Donations & Entrance Fees.
