Sanur, Bali, 3 July 2026 – Some emotions resist translation into words. They live instead in color, in form, in the quiet space between brushstroke and canvas. It is here that Balinese artist Ni Wayan Sutariyani, known to the world as NiWay, has always found her voice.
From 3 July to 31 August 2026, Sudakara ArtSpace at Sudamala Resort Sanur is proud to present Unconditional Love, NiWay’s most deeply personal solo exhibition to date. Open to resort guests and the public alike, this collection of figurative-abstract paintings invites us into a world where love, faith, memory, and human connection become visible, painted onto canvas with rare honesty and spiritual depth.
Through a series of figurative-abstract paintings, NiWay transforms emotions, memories, faith, and human relationships into vibrant visual narratives that transcend cultural, social, and religious boundaries. The exhibition reflects the artist’s belief that art serves as a bridge between people, connecting them through shared emotions, inner experiences, and spirituality.
A Language Everyone Understands
NiWay’s work does not ask you to share her background, her beliefs, or her story. It only asks you to feel. Through bold color and layered form, her paintings move across the full spectrum of the human experience, tenderness and grief, devotion and longing, the sacred and the deeply ordinary. Works such as Last Supper 3 reimagine universal symbols through a personal, spiritual lens, echoing the tradition of artists like Frida Kahlo and Georgia O’Keeffe, who transformed inner life into art that spoke, and continues to speak, to the world.
“Through color and form, I celebrate love, hope, faith, and the beauty of human relationships,” says NiWay. “For me, art is both a spiritual practice and a social dialogue, a visual prayer that allows us to connect beyond words.”
