Bali, Indonesia, 23 August 2026 — The inaugural Sudamala Dialogues 2026, held on 22 August at Sudamala Resort Sanur, brought together six accomplished women, in psychology, medicine, art, dance and beauty, under the theme “Women’s Empowerment and Inner Strength Through Different Disciplines.” Across three moderated sessions, the dialogue moved from where strength begins, to how it is practiced and passed on, to what it means for the generation now stepping forward, encouraging every woman in the room to see her own capability clearly, and to act on it.
Session 1: Finding Your Inner Strength
Made Prabhanika Rahayu Dharmeswari, S.Psi., M.Psi. Psychology, dr. Ni Made Ayu Wulandari, Sp. M, dr. Ni Made Ayu Trisnadewi Suyasa, Sp.M, Ni Wayan Sutariyani (NiWay, Professional Painter & Art Therapy Expert), Cokorda Istri Ratih Iryani (Balinese Dance Maestro) and Widianty Hidayat (Oriflame) opened by tracing the moment each first recognized her own path, and what inner strength means when defined on a woman’s own terms, not borrowed ones.
Session 2: The Practice of Care, the Weight of Tradition
The conversation turned practical, why women so often place their own wellbeing last, and why that habit is worth unlearning; how eye health shapes how women see themselves, not only the world; how painting and Balinese dance offer disciplined outlets for what cannot always be spoken; and where beauty as self-care ends and beauty as pressure begins. Speakers carrying Balinese tradition into modern professions reflected on that inheritance not as constraint, but as a source of confidence to draw on.
Session 3: A Message to the Next Generation
The dialogue closed by looking forward, each speaker offering the one thing she would want a young Balinese woman to know, and in one sentence, what it means to be a strong woman today. The session affirmed a shared conviction: that strength is not reserved for a few, but available to any woman prepared to recognize it in herself and act on it.
Guests carried the conversation beyond the stage through a Fashion Showcase and the Sudamala Pop-Up Market, a curated marketplace of lifestyle, beauty, wellness and artisan brands.
“Sudamala Dialogues was created so that women leave not just inspired, but ready to act, to recognize the strength they already carry and to reach for the opportunities in front of them, for their own sake and for the families and communities they lead. The response to our inaugural edition has encouraged us to continue developing Sudamala Dialogues as an annual platform where ideas, culture, wellness and people can come together,” said I Wayan Suwastana, Commercial Director of Sudamala Resorts.
Sudamala Dialogues 2026 was proudly supported by Rumah Sakit Mata Bali Mandara, BROS INA Hospital, Sergio Christoph Lab Grown Diamond, and Oriflame x Widianti Hidayat Community, with special appreciation to Pinguin FM Bali, the event’s Official Media Partner.
