On 15 August 2026, at 05:58 WIT or local time, a magnitude 7.7 earthquake struck off the northern coast of Flores, East Nusa Tenggara. The tremor was felt at Sudamala Resort Komodo and Sudamala Resort Seraya.
We can confirm that all guests and team members at both properties are safe, and there is no structural damage to either resort.
As a precautionary measure, and in line with guidance from local authorities, all tours and excursions have been suspended until further notice to ensure the continued safety of our guests and staff. We will resume normal activity schedules once authorities confirm it is safe to do so.
The wellbeing of our guests and our people remains our first priority. We are closely monitoring the situation and will provide updates as they become available.
